About Us

Our Mission

We are committed to ending period poverty worldwide by 2040.
Through advocacy, education, and sustainable hygiene, we ensure that no girl is held back by her period.

  • 500 million people worldwide lack access to menstrual products, sanitation, or education.
  • 1 in 10 girls in sub-Saharan Africa misses school during her period.
  • Many women must choose between food or sanitary products — risking health and dignity.
  • Stigma and silence create shame, isolation, and barriers to open conversation.

What We Do

Upendo Women’s Foundation works to end period poverty by giving girls access to sustainable hygiene supplies, menstrual health education, and safe community support.
